What happens in a lesson?
Alexander Technique lessons can take many formats, depending on your individual needs. You can learn individually, online or in a group workshop.
First of all I want to find out about you and why you are coming for lessons.
We will then explore some simple everyday movements to begin to learn what you do and how you sit, stand and move. We will do this with observing, questioning and the use of guiding touch. We will explore new ways of moving and investigate ways to improve your posture, mind and movement.
Over lessons I will give you the tools to find out how to move better for yourself and help you to explore how your mind and body work together to coordinate your everyday activities.
We will also work with activities which are more specific to you, for example running, playing an instrument, knitting, working at a computer, dancing or reading.
With this new awareness of how you think and move you can gain efficient and effective use of your body and mind.
